This beach is located between Kotrona village and Flomohori village east of the Kolokythia bay. The Maniots call it Nisaki (islet) and it is 41km from Gytheio and 87km from Sparta. This white pebbled beach stretches for 110m and it has an average width of 5m. It deepens smoothly and on its west side there is a deck for boats and fishing boats. Kotronas beach is connected with the islet of Skopia with a 300-meter causeway and the small river, which crosses it, empties itself into the sea.
The bust of the Macedonian fighter, Nikiforos Demestihas, boasts on the beach, whereas the family tower is in Alepou village. Kotronas beach is one of the most popular beaches in Mani with crystal blue waters on which olive trees and locust trees are mirrored. Though it is not organized, it has several amenities such as WC, changing rooms, douches etc.
It was declared bathing beach in 1991.
