On an altitude of 1,344 metres, between Linistaina and Andritsaina, the Franks built the Krepakore castle in the end of the 13th century. The castle is near the village Fanari, on the ruins of an ancient wall.
The Byzantines took control of the castle later, and in the 15th century it was conquered by the Turks. On the end of the 17th century, control passed to the Venetians, and back to the Turks in 1774.
Today, access is difficult. A long hike is needed, and very few ruins remain.
