TL;DR

A verdant village with abundant waters, very close to Kyparissia. The village has been moved, and ruins of churches exist in the old site.

The village of Perdikoneri, also known as Podogora, is 8 kilometres from Kyparissia, on an altitude of 352 metres. It has about 300 residents. The village has been moved 1.5 kilometres, the old one being in Sfentamia point. It used to be called Agora, meaning market, then changed to Podagora, combined with the Greek word for feet, because the people visited the village on foot.

Noteworthy is the church of Saint John the Theologian, and in the site of the old village are the ruins of many churches, dedicated to the saints Agios Nikolaos, Agios Athanasios and the Taxiarches.

Every August, the village's cultural association organises a Wine Festival. The village is very quaint and picturesque, with abundant waters and verdant sceneries.
