TL;DR

A village that has two of the best climbing areas of Peloponnese, an ancient city, the tomb of Theodora Tocco and the ruined castle of Palaiologos.

The village is about 40 kilometres from Patra, and was named Chatzouri up to 1955. It is built on an altitude of 300 metres on the northeastern slopes of Skillis mountain, and has about 80 residents.

In recent years, the village has become well-known because it has two of the best climbing areas of Peloponnese. The first one is called Lower Chatzouri, and is an 80 metre high hard vertical stone wall, and the other is inside a cave, having a negative inclination of 45 degrees, considered the "temple of climbing" in Greece.

The ruins of an ancient city were unearthed nearby, as well. The tomb of Theodora Tocco is preserved, who was the first wife of Constantine Palaiologos, but the abandoned and ruined castle of the Palaiologos isn't in a good condition, though one can visit it.
