A town built on an altitude of 42 metres 7.3 kilometres north of Argos. Its 1,857 residents are mainly engaged in agriculture producing, like most lowland Argolida, citrus fruits.
The cultural society called "Agia Kyriaki" is active in the town, organising events with traditional dances and excursions. The town has its own soccer team, PAOK of Koutsopodi, that reached Delta Ethniki, the fourth level of Greek football championship. Every year, in July 7, a festival is organised dedicated to Agia Kyriaki, who is also the saint of the central church of Koutsopodi. The celebrations include many types of events and gather crowds of the faithful.
