Vassilaki is 37km from Pyrgos and 17km from ancient Olympia. It is built on the southeastern end of the Folois plateau at an altitude of 252m and has approximately 480 residents. Near the village, there is the ancient city of Lasion, which was destroyed in 396 AD by the Goths. Vassilaki is mentioned in the population census made by the Turks in 1461. It was probably founded in the 8th century BC. The village’s most important churches are Agios Nektarios (St. Nektarios), Panagia tis Petradas (Holy Mary of Petrada) and Agias Sotiras (St. Sotiras).
